Firefighters remain at the scene of a fire that broke out in Glasgow city centre last night. As reported yesterday in the Press, 999 crews were seen battling flames on Carlton Place in the Gorbals area after a vacant three-story building overlooking the River Clyde caught fire.

Firefighters remain at the scene of a fire that broke out in Glasgow city centre last night.

As reported yesterday, 999 crews were seen battling flames on Carlton Place in the Gorbals area after a vacant three-story building overlooking the River Clyde caught fire.

This morning, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed they were alerted at 8:05 PM on Monday evening.

Seven firetrucks, including high-rise appliances, rushed to the scene.

A spokesperson stated that firefighters are still working on a "well-developed" fire in the unused three-story building.
