Two men were hospitalized after a machete attack in East Kilbride. Emergency services were called to Whinfell Gardens in the South Lanarkshire town just after 1am on Wednesday, July 31. The victims, aged 34 and 37, were taken to the hospital following the assault. It is understood that a machete was involved in the incident, and an investigation is ongoing. Police Scotland spokesperson said, "Around 1.05am on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, we were called to a report of an assault at premises in Whinfell Gardens, East Kilbride." The incident has sparked concern among residents, leading to a police response. The victims are currently receiving treatment at Wishaw General Hospital.
